Geltech HealthFoods, Inc. is a trusted food manufacturing company with roots dating back to 1950, when it was first established in Cebu City as Hayco Engineering. Originally known for fabricating machinery and providing engineering services, the company was founded by Engineer Go Ching Hai, whose vision and innovation led to the expansion into new industries.

Through years of research and development, the company diversified into food processing and, in 1991, officially established Geltech Hayco, Incorporated. It became one of the pioneers in the seaweed industry, producing Hygel Carrageenan—recognized as a high-quality product in the international market.

Driven by continuous innovation, the company also developed Meat Magic Vegetable Protein Product, a soy-based meat alternative. This breakthrough product earned Engineer Go Ching Hai the DOST Likha Award for Outstanding Creative Research, highlighting the company’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

In March 2015, Geltech Hayco, Incorporated was renamed Geltech HealthFoods, Inc., reflecting its focus on producing healthier and more sustainable food solutions.

Today, Geltech HealthFoods, Inc. continues to provide high-quality plant-based food products.
